Now you can bring a little bit of Rocklands to them with a boulder replica that looks and climbs like the real thing. And for those who haven’t heard of Rocklands, GYMRHINO is a unique opportunity to learn about one of the best bouldering destinations on the planet.

Cater to climbers of all abilities with different setting options

Like the Rocklands Rhino, GYMRHINO is V8/7B+ when set with the original holds – those which accurately replicate the Rocklands boulder. But these holds can be swapped out with alternative holds that downgrade GYMRHINO, putting it in reach of all climbers. The holds are colour coded according to grade and can be changed as quickly and easily as the holds on a regular climbing wall.

Our team will set up and pack up GYMRHINO for you

When you host GYMRHINO, we bring the boulder to you and set it up for you. Your setters can swap out holds when you want to downgrade it. This is done in the same way that holds are changed on a regular wall.

How much space does GYMRHINO need?
Deployed, the overall height is 6.4m, to top of canopy, and the total footprint, including mats, is 9.2m long x 6.4m wide. Outdoors, a secured area 12 x 10m is recommended. This allows a comfortable space beyond the mats for spectators and climbers to walk around GYMRHINO without having to walk over the mats.
Can GYMRHINO be placed outdoors?
Yes. The rock structure is fully waterproof and, like the real rock, dries quickly after rain. The matting may take longer to dry, and we provide a rubber broom for sweeping off any excess water to encourage faster drying.
How long can I keep GYMRHINO at my location?
GYMRHINO can be deployed short-term (a week or weekend) for an event or festival, or longer-term at a climbing gym or expo space.
Between one and two months is the sweet spot for gyms. This gives your climbers time to project the problem and provides ample opportunity to attract climbers from other gyms to come give it a go. Experience shows that climbers will travel from a couple of hours away for the opportunity to climb it.
What support do you get when you host GYMRHINO?
Besides delivery, set up and pack up provided by Banana Climbing, we will support you in promoting GYMRHINO being at your venue. GYMRHINO includes a media pack tailored to help you generate content and make the most of this powerful social media opportunity. GYMRHINO also comes with information boards about Rocklands to introduce your climbers to this world-class destination.
Can children climb GYMRHINO?
Yes, kids love it! GYMRHINO can be used for climbing classes with children, to teach them about outdoor climbing, falling and spotting.
